Hi, I'm Shannon.
I believe the most faithful thing we can do with our days is tend them well — the kitchen, the table, the people gathered around it.
This little corner of the internet is where I share what I'm learning about scratch cooking, fresh milled flour, and the quiet grace of a well-kept home.

My Faith Journey
Stewarding Faithfully wasn't a brand idea — it was a conviction. I kept coming back to this question: what does it look like to honor God in the ordinary? In the grocery run, the sourdough loaf, the Tuesday night dinner?
The answer I landed on was simple: do it with intention. Do it with care. Do it as unto Him. That's what this space is built on, and it's what I'm still practicing every single day.
The flour that changed everything
Years ago, I started having issues with wheat — or so I thought. I had migraines since the 3rd grade, stomach issues, autoimmune problems like Type 1 Diabetes and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I was gluten free for over a decade which did help, but was no fun.
Then I heard a podcast about fresh milled flour, and everything changed. I milled my first batch of hard white wheat berries, baked my first loaf, and couldn't believe the difference.
No migraines, no tummy issues. Real flavor. Bread that actually nourished. I went deep down the rabbit hole — researching grains, bought a cheap mill, began learning from teachers like Sue Becker at Bread Becker's — and I never looked back. Now I mill fresh every week and bake everything from sandwich loaves and sourdough, to English muffins and pizza crust from scratch.
I'm a NutriMill affiliate because it's the mill I actually use and love. I'll always tell you the truth about what's in my kitchen.
Life around here
My husband is an over-the-road truck driver, which means a lot of our togetherness is found in the things I send with him — fresh sourdough, homemade snacks, food made with love from our kitchen. Homemaking, for me, has always been an act of service.
I'm a former bakery owner, so I bring real baking experience to everything I share here. When I teach something, I've tested it. When I recommend something, I use it. No fluff, no filler — just what actually works.
